As
part of its commitment to family relocation services, McCollister's
provides both in-van and car carrier transport services.
It is often not possible to coordinate arrival
days exactly between the moving van and an automobile carrier.
For convenience, many multi-car-owner families choose to move
at least one auto with their furnishings so they immediately
have transportation upon delivery.
Regardless of mode of transport, here are a couple of tips to help
the process along.
- If you can arrange to drop off and pick up your auto(s) at
a nearby terminal, you’ll save money.
- Make sure you inspect and complete a condition report with one
of our representatives. Click here

- You’ll want to make sure all personal items are removed
from the car and trunk; do not try to move personal items in the
car.
- Try to move your car with as little fuel in the tank as possible.
- If moving your car at the start of winter, why not go ahead
and perform a winter service before you move it?
- Transit schedules vary based on distance and locations. Be
reasonable in your expectations since automobile carriers normally
carry 6 to 8 cars and must make multiple stops loading and unloading
in route.
- Make sure the auto is in working order. If not let us know
so we can plan accordingly.
